The Zinc Guard range of primers are ideal for the treatment of iron and steel surfaces requiring protection from corrosion.  Suitable for use on clean and rusty surfaces, Zinc Guard primers provide an excellent base for the application of topcoats and extend the life of metal surfaces by protecting them from the elements

Preparation: Ensure that the surfaces to be painted are in sound condition, clean and free from oil or grease. Remove all loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sand paper. Degrease and wash surface with a suitable cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

Application: Hold can upright approximately 20-25cm from the surface. Spray with a smooth sweeping motion. To prevent paint from sagging, apply several light mist coats rather than one heavy coat.

Handy Tip: Adjust nozzle to achieve desired nozzle spray pattern. Use horizontal setting to spray up and down and the vertical setting to spray across

Handy Tip: Ideal application temperature is between 10˚C and 40˚C.  Avoid using in windy conditions.

Handy Tip: Prevent blocking by holding the can upside down and spraying until only clear gas escapes.  Also wipe spray tip of nozzle clean.  Clean up wet paint with Mineral Turps or Dy-Mark Xylene or General Purpose Thinner
